I'm thinking about taking up spinning. I have always found it very intriguing and would like to learn more about the art.

I'm wondering how much angora is collected from one rabbit (Giant Angora) and how many rabbits would be needed to successfully sell skeins of angora at our local farmers market.

Hello Chelle,

While I cannot speak directly to Giant Angoras, their ancestors, the German Angoras, can produce up to 4 pounds per year.

I would imagine that Giants come reasonably close to that.
