Blue Eyed White Angoras

Over the years I have noticed that Blue Eyed Angoras have always been accepted by the ARBA (American Rabbit Breeders Association) but you never saw any. I found some BEW French angoras years ago and tried to improve on them through selective breeding. They were so inbred and small they slowly died out and although the bloodlines are still in some of my bunnies they are next to impossable to pull out once the vienna gene gets past the second generation!

I have decided to start back up with my Blue Eyed White breeding program. I plan to breed French and Satin Angoras in BEW.

A few months ago I stumbled accross a breeder that had been working on BEW French for about 1 1/2 years now. Her name is DiAnn Boehm of Country Dream Acres, Ames, NE. She has done a great job producing some nice BEW French Angoras.

There is also another long time breeder of English angoras that has worked on the BEW English for many years now - Candy Haenszel, Lamar, IN.
